Hi again! And welcome back to another interior design board. This one is full of some of my favorite elements. And I’m so excited to share it with you. The original inspiration for this board was the eucalyptus branch in the top of the image. I loved the deep earthy tones and wanted to work around those. SO let’s get started.

The Colors
I didn’t go crazy with paint samples because I wanted more of a minimal rustic style for this board. So I pulled one of the green shades from the eucalyptus and then contrasted it with a soft white.
The Textiles
Next, I chose the fabrics for this interior design board. Because some of our other elements are more simple, I wanted to use our textiles to add some texture to the board. Texture helps add dimension and life to a space with the illusion of movement.
Keeping it very minimal, I went with three different black and white patterns. The top is a white fabric with a black fleck, then there is a white with a black pin stripe, and finally a black and white thick weave upholstery.
The Details
To finish off the interior design board, I included a black stone mosaic, a white subway tile, a natural wood floor sample, and a black cabinet pull. This neutral palette will compliment the rustic or earthy design of this space. While the simplicity of each element keeps it minimal and modern.
Possible Designs
Now you know all the pieces I chose for the board. But, as always, feel free to make your own changes, adjustments, or additions. Here are some designs I put together based off of this inspiration board.
Interior Design Board: Kitchen
I couldn’t resist a kitchen design with all these beautiful elements. In my head I’m seeing an open concept room with high ceilings and lots of light! Although I’m sure it would work in any space.
Starting from the bottom up, I would go with the gorgeous black mosaic tile on the floor of this space. It will ground the room and draw our eyes up to the lighter colors above.
Next let’s keep it clean with white walls, paired with a subway tile backsplash. The light color will keep the room feeling clean and open. And also helps emphasize our feature: the cabinets!
Because I love a more natural look, I’d go with wood cabinets in the color of our wood sample for the lower ones and white uppers. Or even better, open shelving would be a great option in this space, since we are going for a modern open feel.
Accent the space with curtains in one of our fabric samples, dishes in the green paint sample color, and black hardware and fixtures!
Interior Design Board: Living Room
For a living room design, I would start with wood flooring. Then add our green paint to the walls for a warm welcoming space. Next add accessories taking inspiration from elements on our board like a grey couch, black metal floor lamp, and white curtains to balance the darker shades of the room.
Interior Design Board: Dining Room
Another option for this board is a dining room design. My head is telling me this is an open concept design. So I want the dining room to compliment the kitchen, since those two rooms are usually next to each other in a floor plan. Start with a black floor option, the tile may be an expensive choice for both the kitchen and dining room. An alternative would be to choose a different flooring for the dining room but still our dark black color. Next I would add a GIANT rustic wood farmhouse table. Contrasted off of white walls just like the kitchen. Carry over the green dish ware and add black light fixtures or shelving to the space.
Well, there ya have it! Three possible room designs from this rustic minimal (yet modern) interior design board. Hopefully you’ve enjoyed the read. If so, here are some great home decor options that would go great with this interior design board.
